Francine Pares from Big Blue Bus emailed Voice of Santa Monica about a eco-friendly holiday display at the Big Blue Bus Transit Store created by the Art Institute of California-Los Angeles students using recycled transit maps, shredded plastic bags and natural materials. Highlighting the importance of recycling natural resources to reduce impact on the environment, the students hoped that their creative display will also encourage people to make their own home decorations this holiday season.

The winter wonderland display will remain up throughout the holidays at the Big Blue Bus transit store located at 223 Broadway near the Third Street Promenade from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Mon- Fri) and from noon to 6 p.m.on Saturday.
